Richard Reed

Long-established North East law firm Richard Reed marked an exciting new chapter in 2026 with the move to a new head office here at The Beam in Riverside Sunderland.
The move – which saw the firm relocate from its previous offices on Frederick Street – was supported by a grant from UMi through the Business Growth Fund, managed on behalf of Sunderland City Council.
The Business Investment Team at Sunderland City Council supported the move, providing advice and signposting the company to the Business Growth Fund which has received £494,853 in Sunderland from the Government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund Programme, managed by Sunderland City Council on behalf of the Sunderland Partnership.
Richard Reed’s managing director, Sarah Reid said: “We’re incredibly grateful for all of the support we have received to help make this happen.
“Relocating to The Beam is more than just a change of address, it’s an investment in our people, in our clients and in the future of the firm.
“The funding we received has allowed us to create a workspace that reflects where we’re going as a business, and we’re genuinely excited about what this next chapter will bring.”
