North East Screen, the region’s screen agency, who develop and champion North East England as one of the UK’s leading film and TV production hubs, has chosen The Beam as their new home.

Gayle Woodruffe, Operations Director, said: “The North East is fast becoming a hub for TV and film production and basing our organisation in Sunderland feels like the right move at the right time to the right location. We want to attract people from across the globe to come and film in the North East and being based in Sunderland will allow us to position ourselves centrally to promote the entire region.

The Riverside development is at the heart of the developing cultural quarter in the city, close to the Fire Station, the Empire Theatre and soon to be Culture House.
